At Délifrance we exist to bake everyday delicious – bringing joy to our customers every day.
 
We believe the beauty in our delicious food doesn’t just come from how it tastes and how it looks but also from the way it is made.
From the responsible sourcing of our ingredients to the care we put in crafting our recipes, we want our products to be simply enjoyed without question.
It was this desire to consistently look for a ”better way” that inspired our ”Go Clean” journey.

Simpler Recipes

Simple ingredients, everyone can understand taking into account state of the art science developments, regulation and ever evolving consumers’ needs.

 

OUR COMMITMENTS

 
- We are committed to simplify our ingredients lists in all product categories removing red* additives and minimizing the use of orange* additives.
 
- We have banned all red additives in our Délifrance labelled breads, viennoiseries and savoury products made in our factories in Europe and in 70% of our pâtisserie products (in volume).
 
* We have established our own classification by cross-referencing data from the European regulations, collaborative databases on foodstuff and the commitments of our customers.

OUR CONCRETE ACTIONS

 

 

All our ready to bake plain butter croissants and butter pains au chocolat made in our factories in Europe are CLEAN*.

Our Délifrance Héritage bread range made in France is CLEAN*.

More sustainable ingredients

We promote the use of raw ingredients from sustainable practices, minimizing the impact on the environment and on animal welfare.

 

OUR COMMITMENTS

 
We are committed to use:

- We use 100% CRC® sustainable wheat for our Délifrance Héritage range of bread made in France and will extend it to our Délifrance Héritage ready to bake butter croissants and pains au chocolat by the end 1st semester 2022

- 100% cage-free eggs in all products by 2025

- 100% certified cocoa by 2025 in all Délifrance labelled products

- 100% RSPO-certified palm oil by 2021 in all Délifrance labelled products made in our factories in Europe.

- Our Délifrance Feel Good products will be 100% Palm-oil free by 2025

We already use:

We use 100% cage-free eggs for Délifrance products made in our factories in Europe.


Among these cage-free eggs, about 42% are free-range eggs

We use 99% of RSPO-certified palm oil in all Délifrance labelled products made in our factories in Europe.


We recently launched a range of organic viennoiseries and breads and a plain vegan and palm-oil free croissant

Better for you products

We are committed to use less salt and less sugar in our recipes. Meanwhile, we will continue to develop products

responding to current needs: superfood, gluten-free, veggie, vegan.

We are committed to:

Limit the levels of salt and sugar in our recipes. We have set target thresholds for key products’ categories.

- Double the number of product codes in our Délifrance Feel Good range by 2025.1

 We have started to reduce salt in our bread, starting with a very demanding UK market to follow the local recommendations

We already launched:

Our ready to bake butter croissants and pains au chocolat from our Délifrance range made in our factories in France now contain 20%  less salt vs the previous recipes.


Two Breakfast muffin recipes with -30% sugar vs similar products.


 The Go! BrØd bread, high in Protein, Fibre, and Omega-3, source of vitamin B9, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorous and Zinc

✔ A baguette with -25% salt in comparison to similar products

Which products can be considered “CLEAN” or “CLEANER”?

 

As part of our Go Clean approach, we analyzed all the product references
in our catalogue in order to qualify them.
You will therefore find products that we call CLEAN or CLEANER.

CLEAN because they contain zero additives or green additives only in the list of ingredients, no artificial colour or flavour, no palm oil not certified in the recipe, no hydrogenated fats and no cage-eggs.

CLEANER because their recipe has been improved as much as possible. These products may contain one or more orange additives but no red additives in the list of ingredients, no artificial colour or flavour, no palm oil not certified in the recipe, no hydrogenated fats and no cage-eggs.
