Prepare the ingredients.

- Dice the tomatoes, chop the basil leaves, and mix with the salt in a bowl, then leave to rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
- Cut the bread into 2 cm-thick slices, place in a dish, and bake for 5 minutes at 230°C.
- Drain the diced tomato and basil (the salt will have disgorged it) and combine with the olive oil.
- Rub the cloves of garlic on the toasted bread once cooled, and spread a layer of the tomato and basil mixture on top.
- Add small, sliced cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and a twist of pepper on top.

For meat lovers, add cured ham / for fish lovers, add anchovies.
