WHAT DEPARTMENT DO YOU WORK IN AND WHAT ARE THE MAIN TASKS IN YOUR CURRENT JOB?

I work in the marketing department and my main task is to develop new products for our customers which will not only be of great quality and innovative but also cost effective. This involves creating products in the test bakery, presenting to customers, and then running factory trials. This is probably the most challenging part of my position. Creating products in the test bakery is easy when you have over 40 years’ experience. Scaling up and creating the same product on a much larger scale in a factory environment is challenging to say the least, but the reward when you see the products you have created on the supermarket shelf or in a restaurant is immeasurable.

 

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY THE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT DÉLIFRANCE ?

That’s easy – the people I work with are great, very supportive, and always up for a challenge.

 

WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND ?

I have been in the baking industry for over 40 years from pastry to bread to cakes. I have a number of bakery qualifications which I have acquired over the years but nothing beats experience.

 

WHAT ARE THE REASONS THAT LED YOU TO JOIN US?

Actually you joined me! I joined Le Pain Croustillant in 1987 Delifrance acquired the company from RHM over 15 years ago, before RHM the company was owned by at least 5 others and can honestly say that Delifrance has been by far the best to work for.
