Recipe
Perfect for coffee shop brunch menus, or a hearty weekend breakfast, this cheddar, scrambled egg, and crispy bacon bagel delivers a comforting mix of savory flavors and satisfying textures.
Preparation : 10-15 min
Slice the bagel in half and place both halves in a toaster until golden brown.
While still warm, place cheddar slices on the cut sides so the heat melts them slightly.
Scramble the eggs, starting by melting the butter in a frying pan over medium heat, then crack the eggs into the pan and stir gently with a spatula for about 3 minutes, until just set. Season with salt and pepper.
In a separate pan, fry the bacon over medium heat until crispy.

Assemble the bagel by placing half of the crispy bacon on top of the cheesy base, add the scrambled eggs with some fresh spinach leaves, then place so the rest of the crispy bacon and close with the cheesy top half of the bagel.
Chef's tip
For an extra café-style touch, spread a thin layer of cream cheese or a hint of hot sauce on the bagel before assembling. It adds depth and keeps the sandwich moist.
